My survival island world has finally reached its endpoint. - Manoftheyear - 03-26-2026 My survival island world has finally reached its endpoint. What started as a simple challenge turned into a fully developed project—complete with a thriving village, a functional lighthouse, and a beacon shining from the summit of a mountain. With everything I set out to achieve now finished, it felt like the right moment to close that chapter and begin something new. This marks the start of a fresh journey: a completely new world, untouched and unpredictable, with new obstacles to face and discoveries to make. ![]() Before anything else, a few things to keep in mind. This playthrough sticks to a straightforward survival approach—no cheats, no shortcuts, and no pre-selected seed. Everything is left to chance. I’m also avoiding outside tools like Chunkbase so exploration stays genuine, though I’ll still use the F3 screen when needed. As for gameplay itself, anything earned in-game is fair to use, whether that’s potions, Totems of Undying, or even Elytra if I manage to progress that far. As for the name, this world wasn’t always called Mountain Quest. It originally went by “Hardcore World 1.0,” which, in hindsight, felt a bit generic. After spending the first few in-game days exploring the towering mountain ranges surrounding spawn, it became clear the world needed a name that actually reflected its landscape. That’s how Mountain Quest came to be. |
